Sstarts was installed in Taminmin High
School (NT) in February 2001.
In May/June
2001, nine NSW schools using a system which was no longer supported were
converted to Sstarts and 3 new schools were installed.
The developer,
Murray Schliebs, has twenty-one years experience in the development of School
Administration software while working for the Northern Territory Department of
Education and later as an independent developer.
Support for
the system is provided by Murray via phone, email and periodic visits.
Unlike many
other systems, there is no additional software other than Office 97 or 2000
required.
There is
also no “up front” purchase price. The annual fee covers the license, email and
“five minute” phone support.
The system
is constantly being improved as a result of feedback from the current users.
